| In order to allow firms additional time to respond and to ensure their readiness, we have postponed this change for one week. The revised implementation date is Friday, July 20th. If you have not responded, please do so as soon as possible. Deletion of Reversal Records from GUSR File Several Member Firms have requested that we no longer send Reversal records back to books when the new Reversal feature in the GUS system is used. As you know, GUS reversals are now initiated by the Executing firm and accepted by the Carry firm. These GUS records are currently forwarded to both parties in the GUS Routing (GUSR) data file. To this end, effective at the start of business Friday, July 20, 2001 we would like to eliminate Reversal records from the GUSR routing files. Please take a moment and e-mail foweimri@cme.com to let us know if this change would cause any problems for your book keeping operations and hence necessitate a delay in its implementation. If you have any questions, please call Farris Oweimrin at (312)-648-4780 |
